We had a chance meeting a few months ago. A night I could never forget. Since then, the thoughts of you hadn't gone away but I knew I had to see you again. We run in the same circles and share mutual friends but I never imagined that you could quietly win me over. I'm not professing my love for you, but I find you intruging, and would love to know more. I've approached you while you were alone at your shows, and attempted to be myself, but as I would peer into your eyes I would become lost, and frazzled. To hear your voice in conversation or while your onstage singing truly makes my knees week. Perhaps being the most beautiful sound one could ever hear. You are at one with your guitar and the intense emotion that you play with is almost elegant. I've tried emailing you, and as other friends of mine are, you even admit to being lousy at returning emails. And it has been quite a hectic and crazy few weeks, perfectly understandable not your first priority. I want nothing more than to be there for you, as i'm sure in this short time you have the wrong impression of me. Though given a chance to correct that you'd be able to see me as myself, good or bad. I'm not easily thrown by people, and less often by guys. But that just proves that there's something different about you, something incredibly precious. I would be the 1 to lose out if i simply walked away or gave up. I know that I cannot be too forward, bc that is not my true self and bc i fear it would push you away. Like the groundhog that sees his shadow. But at this point I'm not even sure you see me, the "chameleon". The smile and wink as you walk by in a crowded room touches my soul, even if it's just a normal part of your "onstage persona". I can only hope that i'm given the chance to show you who I am.
