I was in charge of an edit session one day for a television show that I work for and ended up missing a one-minute segment at the end of the program. Even though the mistake was easily fixed, my boss completely freaked out....hence the letter.
Dear Mr. Bee,
Just a few points of business to discuss:
1. In regard to the question you asked during your outburst at yesterday's edit session: "Are you fucking stupid?"
Considering the fact that I graduated college with honors and have been working for a cheap, tyrannical and annoying boss such as yourself....
Yes, I am stupid.
2. Regarding the 15 comments you made yesterday about how my mistake cost you money:
The mistake I made set us back about 10 minutes. At $250.00 per hour for the edit session, my mistake cost $41.67.
Now do you realize that as you pissed and moaned about the $41.67, you were wearing a vest embroidered with the name of your yacht that's bigger than my fucking house?
If the $41.67 is such a big deal to you, send me an invoice. I'll be sure to send you a penny a week for 4,100.67 weeks.
3. In regard to the pretzels you threw against the wall at the onset of your temper tantrum:
Please do not throw perfectly edible pretzels against the wall when you get upset. Instead, try using your head. You will get a much louder sound and it most likely won't break at the first throw as the pretzels did. This will allow for multiple hits.
