Letter Details: Pathetic Supervisor should be RETIRED

By CarolS

Category: Business Blunders

Description: My supervisor wants me to know my place as a subordinate by making a point of not returning my calls/ emails regarding projects that his boss asked me to do

Hey R--

We both know you're impotent so enough with this pathetic charade - no one gives a fuck about you.

I know the bosses don't and I know that's why they come to me to get stuff done - BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO FUCKING SLOW.

Don't hold it against me, and for the love of God don't think you are making a point about how important you are by not returning my call. Did you know I have been sitting here for an hour thinking how to word a letter to your boss, who ASKED ME TWICE to start working on the project he didn't even bother mentioning to you? Everyone already knows you are running late with last month's stuff. Do you think that slipped my attention? Do you think I just can't figure out why they go over your head and give projects directly to me?? Without including you at all??

Oh poor you who should have retired five years ago when your wife left. Poor you getting cut out of the picture. WHAT COULD BE MORE PATHETIC, I even had to TELL YOU what your boss wanted, and you DON'T return my call about YOUR BOSS' FUCKING PROJECT.

I was so considerate, I called twice, even wishing you a happy holidays and asked you to please discuss it with him and let me know what he wanted done. I went OUT OF MY WAY to include you even though it's pretty clear HE doesn't think your "supervision" matters one shit.

You know he and I email each other. You know I'm going to tell him because it makes ME look bad if he thinks I'm not on top of the project he personally gave me without your input. Come to think of it, I could even use this as an OPPORTUNITY to reinforce to your boss how worthless you are as a supervisor, because I'm the one actually taking charge and getting things done. Not talking about it, not "scheduling" it, not complaining about deadlines, fuck you and your 30 years "experience" I could have finished the damn thing last week.

And you complain about your heart condition? You say they thought I was too slow with the 24 h turnaround on the last three projects, while you are struggling just to finish one? And the REASON why they come to me is because you haven't even STARTED the project we were talking about 4 months ago. That's why he comes over and asks ME to do it, and you should be FUCKING GRATEFUL I go out of my way to make it sound like your "supervision" is making one fucking difference. What the fuck!
