a teacher raked me over the coals in grade school for running in the rain after school. I thought I had been abandoned as I had been a few years prrior to that day. So i was running home to make sure that someone was there and that I wasn't alone.
Dear June
No one should ever speak to a child the way you spoke to me. Do you know why I was running in the rain? Because I thought I had been abandoned...again. I will never forget the look of disgust and contempt on your face that day.
I pity you and always have. I hope your heart has lightened over the years. you must have been very unhappy to speak that way to a child.
